Why Choose Webber

On this page both current students and alumni offer impressions of how WIU/SAU has touched their lives. In these short passages students of WIU/SAU describe the impact these schools have had on them both personally and in their professional development.

In a student’s own words…

Dr. Wade,

Thank you for everything you have given me over the past two years.  I always wanted to ensure I selected a school that helped me prepare for the business world, and I am now confident that no other institution could have better prepared me.  Dr. Aaron is truly the most influential professor in my life and he guided me to a wonderful career I can now find success in.  Ms. White does an excellent job with building important career skills such as resume design and interview ability, while other professors such as Dr. Fening and Dr. Wolfe have also been great teachers of their art.  There are many more professors at your school who are extremely knowledgeable about their specific course subjects and each one of them has done an excellent job.

I also wanted to let you know I made good on my promise to keep my 4.0 GPA through graduation! I am very excited and know my parents will be too.

Thank you again for a life-changing experience.  I look forward to staying in contact with all of the Webber family in the future.

Webber Graduates Get Great Jobs!

Here’s what students are saying about career development at Webber!

I just wanted to say thank you for everything you taught me in my Career Development class. Having the mock interview helped me prepare for my interview and get the job. I got the Assistant Manager position at Wal-Mart …and I’m very happy about it.

Thanks again,

Shelby LeBlanc

I wanted to say thank you for the techniques you have shown me this semester, I received a summer finance internship today with UBS (Cayman) Ltd. All of your techniques definitely came in handy to help me excel above other candidates.

Thanks again.

Jeff Scott

I wanted to inform you that I have been promoted from my part-time job at UCF to a full-time role! I thought you should know since you helped get me there.  I now deal with the existing and potential season ticket holder for all UCF athletic teams.

Thank you so much for all of you help.

I have been working as the Sales/Ticketing Intern for the Buccaneers for the past 2 ½ weeks.  I just wanted to thank you again for your help in the interviewing process, it is greatly appreciated.

Thank You,

Joshua Natonio

I will work as a marketing assistant at Procter and Gambles Japan from 25th!

I will be in a department taking care of “Pringles” brand.

When I was working as a sales in Japan for 5years I decided to study marketing in Webber to be a global marketer in the consumer product industry so that my dream finally came true!

Thank you for your support both inside and outside of your class.

Thanks for sending out the job opportunity for one of the events at the Daytona International Speedway.  I just finished my phone interview with Ms. Erica Wilkerson and will be working at the event!  Ms. Erica was nice, professional, and gave a great interview.  You would be proud of her.

Hope you are having a great summer!  Thanks again for keeping your students posted on job opportunities.

I do want to let you know that I really appreciate how you taught this course.  Your lessons and assignments are very practical and helpful for going out into the professional world.  I also appreciate your honest and constructive criticisms.  You show your students the best way to go about things, and it is obvious that you give us advice for our benefit.  I feel that I have gained a lot from this course.

Thank you for going above and beyond your teaching requirements.  It has been a pleasure to be in your class.
